'Wild Moon' captures the potential of a moonlit night. It is fabric and paper collage on A3 deckle edged Khadi paper. It features collage and print. 
 
In 2023 I went back to the sketchbook in the pursuit of an expression of the sense of a place, as expressed in raw marks and shape. Texture and pattern are still important but in a more direct and gestural way. I felt pared back and wanted to meet the landscape in my raw state. It feels like a transition and this is a collection of work which I think will form a foundation for some more involved painting, informed by the shapes I have been drawing. I like the direct, unquestioning way in which I created these and it feels like the start of a more confident language to describe my world.
